Jane Wallace has over forty years of experience in the equestrian world, covering virtually every aspect at all levels.
Born in Cambridge, she started riding at an early age and was soon spotted as showing talent, which earned her the opportunity to ride many of the top show ponies of the 1960s, winning at all the major shows including the Horse of the Year Show and Dublin.
In her early twenties, she was head girl at a high-class BHS approved riding school where she taught group and individual lessons and escorted groups out hacking. She was also responsible for allocating suitable ponies and horses for the appropriate level and experience of riders.
In 1974 she started her own yard, schooling and producing young show jumpers, pre-training racehorses and hunters. She trained and rode winners of point to points and was successful showjumping to Grade B level, winning many classes and was sent horses to train by Olympic rider, Malcolm Pyrah. She broke and trained horses to top level and was sent many different types of horses and ponies to educate. Many of these were problem horses and not easy to manage in the early stages but she had an ability to bring out the best in most horses and was able to understand what caused them to be difficult.
